Rebecca Bazell has written for The New York Times, The Barnes and Noble Review, The Wall Street Journal, NY Daily News, Art New England and Glamour among other publications. Her play, The Empaths (co-written with John Markus), will premiere at The Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater on July 22, 2017.


She has worked in publishing, the non-profit sector and for companies including: Chronicle Books, Barnes and Noble, Hyperion/Walt Disney Company, The Dream Yard Project and Ralph Applebaum Associates (The Jewish Museum, American Museum of Natural History’s Biodiversity Exhibit).


Her paintings have been exhibited nationally and her greeting card line, Rapunzal Cards, was bought by Papyrus. She has taught at the university-level and in some of the nation’s most underserved public schools. Rebecca Bazell holds a BA from Hamilton College in English and art history and studied painting and design at the Rhode Island School of Design.
